Muslim Intolerance Intolerable
spacebar

A few years ago, Christians wore wrist bands and articles of clothing with the letters WWJD. The acronym stood for the question, “What Would Jesus Do?” It was meant to cause people to consider the teachings and principles of Jesus as the basis for their own actions.

Now, our world is faced with Muslim indignation over cartoons printed in European newspapers depicting the Prophet Mohammad in a way they say is blasphemous. The resulting outrage and violence only highlight the intolerance of their founder and faith.

Perhaps they are asking, “What Would Mohammad Do?” A serious study of the life of Islam’s founder and his successors shows that intimidation, terror, brutal punishment, and even death awaited those who fell under Muslim rule. Even today, despicable anti-Jewish caricatures appear daily in newspapers across the Arab and Muslim world.

While insensitively mocking other religions is nothing to be admired in a civil society, violent and murderous reactions are not to be tolerated either!

Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples.” Psalm 96:2,3 NIV
